Quimera Energy to cut energy expenditure for Renaissance Hotel

Managed by Catalonia Hotels, Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel will be under Quimera’s Monitor & Save service in order to cut utility bills while reducing CO2 emissions.

Quimera Energy has recently begun a collaboration with Catalonia Hotels on a project to reduce energy expenditure with no investment in its flagship Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel by Marriott. This is part of Quimera’s new Monitor & Save service, offered to the hospitality, among other sectors, in order to optimize the efficient use of energy.

The project includes the implementation of a smart metering system that will provide permanent monitoring of the building’s different energy demands. Our model is based on shared savings from reduced energy costs, thus aligning our interests with those of our partners. This also ensures that our commitment to the project goes beyond the advisory stage, with the successful deployment of identified energy optimization initiatives being our main priority.

Located in Plaza Europa and just a few meters from Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel by Marriott is an unique vertical garden 110 meters high consisting of 357 rooms, 314 of which are completely white and 43 of a grey intense tone. Designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel and Ribas & Ribas, the hotel has a panoramic restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine, terrace balcony with a black pool of 21 meters, fitness area with indoor heated pool, 140 underground parking spaces and an innovative convention center of 1,200 m2.Vegetation from five continents and 293 palm trees make this stunning building a great place to visit, an amazing new urban experience.
